The Weird Club Begins!
Hello, my name is Mark. I live in New Jersey and I have a club called the Weird Club. So far, I’m the only member. That means I’m the president and vice president as well as the treasurer. My older sister, Michelle, says that it’s weird to have a club where you’re the only member. So, I said “Fine! Then, I’ll call it the Weird Club!” That’s how my club got its name.
The purpose of the Weird Club is to document all things unusual or remarkable,
mysterious, unexplainable or just plain weird: local legends about ghosts
or monsters, stories about strange phenomena like UFO’s, bizarre
buildings, spooky cemeteries, odd people that live on your street, anything
that makes you wonder or shudder or scratch your head!
Unfortunately, there are far too many strange places, people and stories
for me to document them all, so I’m hoping that more people will
join my club. Are you the curious type? Are you fascinated by the weirdness
around you? If you are, then become a member of the Weird Club! Here’s

I also made a poster and put it up in school. It included my address and phone number along with information about club meetings, which I hold in my room on Wednesday afternoons. Maybe someone will see the poster and will want to join. If not, a club is still a club even if it only has one member. At least, I think so.
